The World Bank office in Warsaw hosted a group of AYD 6th edition students on February 17th. Our students met with Thomas Laursen, the Bank’s Country Manager for Poland and the Baltic States, and Anna Kowalczyk and Malgorzata Dworzynska from the  Bank's Communications Team.

During the meeting, the students not only learned basic information about the World Bank and its current projects in Poland but also heard Mr. Laursen's position on the impact of the global financial crisis on Poland.

Afterwards, Ms. Dworzyńska discussed career opportunities at the World Bank.

The AYD's next educational excursion will be held on March 12th at 13.00. Students will meet with Monika Smoleń, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
