The EAD, in conjunction with the Diplomatic Protocol of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers Polish Language Courses for representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Poland.

Classes are available at the following levels (with groups of 5-10 students):

  • beginners group ("0"): for students with no knowledge of Polish,
  • advanced beginners group ("1"): for students with elementary knowledge of Polish,
  • intermediate group ("2"): for students making mistakes in Polish regarding conversation on everyday life,
  • upper intermediate group ("3"): for students wishing to learn Polish beyond everyday life conversation,
  • advanced group ("4"): for students wishing to speak proficient Polish regarding political, social and economic issues.

Class meetings are held twice a week, for 1,5 hours each meeting. A complete course, consisting of 40 hours of classes, is covered within 13 weeks (excluding bank holidays). The course framework includes an open workshop or meeting about Polish culture or history. Classes are held during lunch time or in the afternoons.

The fee for a course is PLN 1,000 per person for all levels and includes course materials. The payment for the course starting on 20 September 2010 should be paid by 10 September 2010 to:

The classes are taught by qualified teachers. According to participants' specified interests, they concentrate on developing practical use of the language in speaking and reading. At the advanced level the classes focus on political, social and economic issues that are the main areas of participants' professional interests. After completing the advanced-level course participants should be able to discuss basic political and social issues in Polish and read press publications covering the aforementioned topics.

2011:
- winter course: January 3 - March 31
- spring course: April 4 - July 12
- autumn course: September 19 - December 20
